Tell your story & win a Readings voucher

Everyone has a story to tell about the domed reading room.

You might study beneath the dome's green lamps, or perhaps you used to. Maybe you've gazed down at the reading room from the giddy heights of the 6th floor during a Dome Galleries tour. Perhaps you wander in to luxuriate in the dome's natural light, to read the 'ribbon of words' on its walls, or to enjoy its quietness. You could be a visitor to Melbourne, seeing the dome for the first time.

There are a thousand and one dome stories out there, and we'd like you to share yours.

We're offering a $5 gift voucher to spend at Readings at the State Library for your stories and comments. At the end of the year, the story which attracts the most comments will receive a special Dome100-themed prize pack from the Readings pop-up shop.

All stories and comments win a Readings voucher which may be collected from the desk in the front foyer. There's a limit of one voucher per person: spend $20 on full-priced books at Readings at the State Library and receive a $5 discount off any purchase before 31 December 2012.
